Automated Soccer Player Tracking and Tactical Analysis
This project develops a system for detecting and tracking soccer players in video footage. It transforms player positions from image coordinates to real-world field coordinates and reconstructs their movement trajectories over time, handling occlusions and temporary missing detections. The system enables robust player traces suitable for performance analysis, tactical evaluation, and advanced game metrics.

The project also incorporates football-specific rules and principles, such as pressing mechanisms, spatial control, and transitions, to generate customized Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This combination of computer vision tracking and domain-specific football analytics provides actionable insights for coaches, analysts, and scouts, supporting strategic decision-making and long-term team development.
